Our Sensory Home: Carrow House
Our 'Sensory Home' is based in Norwich at New Carrow House on floor three. Our space consists of two studios and two offices, which we share with the fantastic Musical Keys.
Carrow House
Part new, part Grade-II listed, Carrow House is a large office building on King Street shared between local charities and artists.
Around 1860, James Colman of Colman's Mustard rebuilt a mid-19th century villa and made it the family home. In 1895, they added an ornate Victorian conservatory (recently featured in British Vogue!) with Art Nouvaeu stained glass and tessellated floors.
Our Studio
Our rehearsal room, our place to play, our creative cosmos!
This is where we make our shows through research and development (R&D), freely investigating and exploring new ideas, and where we rehearse our current touring productions before heading out on the road.
When we host our monthly Sensory Studio sessions, we transform the space with a sensory tunnel and room that allows the artists to get into the experimental mindset.
The studio comes with a sensory library, full of past, present and future sensory elements used in our work.
Get in touch if you'd like to hire our studio for your creative project!
Changing Places Toilet
We are fundraising to be able to build a Changing Places Toilet in our Sensory Home.
Changing Places toilets are larger accessible toilets for disabled people, with equipment such as hoists, curtains, adult-sized changing benches, and space for carers. They aim to provide a safe, dignified, and comfortable toilet experience for individuals.
Changing Places toilets enable individuals to participate more fully in community life by providing a more accessible and dignified toilet solution. They remove barriers to accessing public spaces, allowing people to attend events, go shopping, and travel with greater confidence.
